I have a WITSA81G running 2.2 from the factory. This is the model with full size and mini USB, and is supposed to be capable of hosting. I can plug a USB memory stick into the i/f, and the device recognizes it being present, but I can't figure out how to access the data. I have observed that when I remove it without unmounting (via the message in the Notifications) it can impact the SD card. The device sometimes 'thinks' I have unmounted the SD. I tried removing the SD to see if I could use the SD utility under settings to mount the USB flash drive, but it doesn't recognize it. I look for the USB drive using various file managers and it is like they don't acknowledge anything besides native resources and the SD card. Can someone please tell me how to make the USB i/f on this device useful?
