I've been using the stylus that came with my 7012, and after playing "Fruit Ninja" I found that it had scratched my screen all up.

I think if you play a lot of games where you slide the stylus across the screen, it "sharpens" it, causing it to slice the screen all up.

I've switched over to Nintendo DS stylus that has a nylon tip.

Just FYI.

Not very hard.
It was the repeditive swiping motion of playing fruit ninja that caused the sharpening effect.

Still, I'm sure I'm not the only one to play those sort of games. If happened to me, I'm sure it has happened to other.

I always purchase a screen protector for all my touchscreen devices. It protects the screen from just that kind of damage. Easy to find on Amazon or eBay.

I've had a few Ds's and a couple of Palm Pilots, and being 53, I assumed I would not be pressing too hard, or abusing it. Oh well.

Thanks for that warning, who'd think the stylus that came with the tab would do that. I'd think you might be able to get that 7012 replaced if you pushed it.

Nah, I'm just going to keep it.
I'm considering it as my learning tab.

I'll use it until I know how they work really well, then buy a really nice one!

I hope my wife does not find out my plan....
