Broken vtab screen

There are several folks who have permanently "bricked" their VTAB's while trying to root them or do other warranty killing things. Search for them and offer a fair price for their non-working VTAB. Then, using their tablet as a learning experience, open the tablet and disconnect the screen. It is connected by a single ribbon cable as shown in the photo below. Now that you know how to open your VTAB without breaking it, you can replace your dead screen with the working one from the "bricked" system. Both parties win - you get a screen for a reasonable cost and the person with the "bricked" system gets something for an otherwise unusable candidate for the scrap bin.
