Fixing Coby Kyros MID1126

Just figured out the MID1126 CAN'T access Android Market. Is there any way to fix this, or am I resigned to return this and buy a REAL tablet?

If I can't access what I need, I might as well use it as a Frisbie!

There are many threads about how to install Android Market on 7125/7127/8125/8127/1125, they should work on 1126 as well.

But you don't need to: use GetJar, SlideME or 1Mobile, they are much easier to install, simply use built-in browser to download and install their apk. Amazon App Market will work for you too if you're in the USA.

Not so far. I tried to buy a set of Mormon Scriptures through StandardWorks.com. When I did, it took me to the Android Market, then told me I didn't have an Android device. The tablet says it is a 3.2.2 AAndroid.


I'll try again, but I'm pretty much stuck.

AFAIK 1126 is 2.3.3, not 3.2.2... There isn't even a 3.2.2 version for any tablet, I've seen 3.2.1 at most so far.

If you need to buy stuff, you can try Amazon as it may have the same stuff you need. If not, look for the tutorials for 1126 or the mentioned models and you should be good to go...

so my tablet is pretty much messed up, it doesnt let me turn it off and it freezes a lot. also when i turn it on, it says system not responding, force close or wait. i choose wait and i only can go on the internet. none of my apps work. what do i do???

Do a factory reset you will lose all your data, tablet should then be like new.
