fresh install on MID generic tablet?

hello, new member here so if its in the wrong place i apologize. i bought one of those cheap chinese MID generic android tablets. they designed it to look like an ipad and also put an ipad theme on it. i want to do a fresh, clean install of android 2.2 or 2.3 on it. it has no usb ports but it does have a microsd slot (occupied by an 8gb card). battery life is terrible, and it is slow, but i only paid $50. so im fine with it. i tried googleing for hours but cant find an answer. i rooted it with z4root, but that didnt do much. it also has an app market, but i dont think its the official one because it doesnt have tapatalk, ebay, and other android apps. if there is a way to get it to regular, basic install of android 2.2 or 2.3 please let me know. thanks!

I too am interested in this as I am soon to start messing with my generic MID tablet but dont want to progress without a "backup" ROM. Makes me sad though that this was posted in September and there are no responses
