I have been looking at the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer (16gb) and also the Acer Iconia A500 (16gb). Both are going for $399 but the Acer Iconia comes with a $100 gift card to either Best Buy or Office Depot....What do you guys think?

Acer Iconia A500 has better configuration and display performance, while ASUS Eee Pad Transformer comes with better design. Iconia A500 would be a little better to handle different tasks. Of course that what I think. :)

Errr...the Iconia doesnt have a better display. It has incredible (really great) blacks, but it uses the older TFT panels. The Transformer uses an IPS panel, which gives many times better viewing angles and a few other things. They are almost a different class of display in terms of quality. There was a comparison done by DisplayMate on all the major tablets, and theTF came out in a close third behind the Galaxt Tab 10.1 and then the iPad. The Iconia was fourth, and the Xoom was last. You can check it out here: Tablet Display Technology Shoot-Out The Iconia does have better built-in connectivity because of it's USB ports, but the TF definitely beats it out with the dock. However, the Iconia beats it out price-wise with that coupon...you coud use it, sell the tablet later in thge year, and upgrade to s higher model. It depends what you want and how much you want to spend.
