i purchased a chinese epad/apad/whateverpad...it came too late,(but she didnt mind), on start up it is stuck on android robot lookin dude with wmt 2.1.2_105 on the bottom. the processor, from what i can gather is VIA MW8505. if one of u fantastic, wonderful, supersmart moderators could point me to the proper thread or instruction vid to see me thru this i would be very very grateful. ireally dont want her to wait 7-8 weeks for a refund/Christmas present.

Can you find a picture of it (maybe from where you brought it at) so we can see what tablet you have.

Have you tried hard resetting the device, if you have, i would try to contact the person who sold it to you and see if they have a link for the original firmware.

    Is this your device?

Have you tried contacting the seller and seeing if they can give you any insight on where to find the original firmware.

With the generic tablets usually you have to find one that is compatable with your processor, since most are the same just sold by different vendors, but when I search for your device, i can not find any info on which firmware would be loaded. Tipster may be able to help you out he is pretty good at finding out firmware for devices.

And you can tell your daughter we will do everything to try and get the tablet up and working, which wont be that hard once you find the correct firmware.

Its an X10 facebook will try to find the device you are using to download the application for it, but it will not detect generic devices. Its says x10 on all my devices. but its good that you got it booted. try to go under settings-about and see what information it has there. Also can you find an update firmware option on your tablet.
