Welcome to the forum I have the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, after having done hands on with others, and I'm very pleased with it. But, size and weight may be a personal choice on your part.
I've got an offer for a LG G Pad 2 8.0 but am not sure, the price is right but am affraid it's too small
LG G PAD 2.8.0 has 8 inches screen which seems quite shorter in comparison to Samsung Tabs. So for reading purpose LG G PAD does not satisfy me too.
Glad that is working out you. I wanted a larger screen but had to settle for a 9.7 Samsung Tab S2. I now seam to use it in the portrait mode more than my past tablet. The S2 would be great for magazine reading if you ever change again. Lateck,
