New Tablet and Need Help!!!

I received a Google Android Tablet for Christmas and I am having some trouble with it... Am I able to download ebooks? I have tried and am having no success, the tablet is saying I need an SD card inserted???? I am also having trouble accessing my calendar? I am not very good at these things and thought maybe I am doing something wrong. The users manual is useless!!!

We need much more information about what kind of Google Android Tablet you have. Make, model, Android Version.

if its telling you you need an sd card you should probably put one in but you should always find an ebook reader first like kindle or something

I did try putting a SD card in, the SD card had the book loaded on it, and it still asked that..... I am not very good at this stuff but here is what was on the package
New 7 inch google android 2.2 tablet says its 800 mhz and 4 gb with camera. Does this help? I have an ereader, I just thought it would be more convenient if I could download books to the tablet.
