New to the android thing

[BSG]

I am new at this and I am having a problem.
I have apps that I have down loaded from android market, but thy will no install.
I have apps that show in the manager but have no Icon to get to them.
Lost!
I would like help on removing the apps that I have no Icon for, this may open some space on internal to install new apps.
Please help
