Newbie/dumbie needs help

I have finally figured out how to get files from my desktop onto my microSD card. And my tablet shows the card. But when I try to look at the files with any of the viewer apps, I get nothing. What do I need to know/do to see these files? Thanks in advance.

What type of files exactly?
It can take a short while (much longer than windows) for data to become available the first time a card or usb is used.

PDF files should open automatically.

Use a file manager to navigate to where the files are, then select the pdf to open them.

Perhaps the file manager will open tiffs too. Its not a common file format for android but somebody might handle it.

The A500 has clear.fi on it and that application supports JPG, JPEG, BMP, TIF, and TIFF photo formats; you shouldn't have any problems with that. Acer Support - Answers, E-Mail, Chat - What photo formats does clear.fi support?
