Newbie Just bought an Advent Vega

Hi everybody.
Just entered the world of Tablets and Androids??
Read on reviews that you can Hack or improve the Vega to access more 'Things'it can do. Absolute Newbie and know diddly squat. Can anybody tell me or point me in the right direction.
