It really depends on how you intend to use the tablet. the Nexus is great, but kind of ties you to Google (this is their intent) buy if you want a more open tablet, with expandable storage, and don't need the cutting edge processor, the Samsung is nice. I think you can get a bundle Including a great Keyboard dock for around $250 which is really a great deal.

I have both and they each have their respective strengths.
Really depends what you need/want from a tablet.
The bundle Tom mentioned wasn't available when I bought my Tab 2 7" - definitely icing on the cake if the Tab 2 fits your intended usage better than the N7.
