Hmm having issues transferring over files to the SD card. Also having problems deleting material from the SD card in the win tower.

The answer is that the adapter was faulty, the lock switch was permanently on. Tried another one and no bother at a.... which just goes to show when trouble shooting start with the basics.
Or so I thought but all three adaptors are giving the same message ..........regardless of where the switch is.... something is seriously fishy here.
