problems with google android 2.2 MID

I have been familiarizing myself with my android 2.2 but I pressed something about connectivity which closed it down and on the black screen there flashed the words touchscreen connections.
I have put a needle in the reset and it cam back on for a moment with the android symbol but then disappeared and continued with the words touchscreen connection
can anyone help me restart the thing please!!
