question about backing up apps *without* an external sd card

Ok i am going to update my sister's Samsung Galaxy Tab 7in GT-P1010 (wifi only) from 2.2 to 2.3 (using odin) and I need to back up her apps but we do not have a spare micro-sd card for it. is there a way i can back them up using windows or Ubuntu or do i just have to wait and get a micro-sd card?

Titanium Backup is the best if the tablet is rooted. There's a fee version here:

You'll have to spend $6.58 for the pro version however. It backs up to Dropbox which is nice.

I found this thread because I managed to strip the metal things that read the SD card, so SD cards no longer work, and it won't even boot up if there is an SD card inside...
