should I buy an android 2.2 device?

Should i buy the coby mid8024 for 199.00. it runs android 2.2. is it worth it or should i get an android 3 or 2.3 device? can i upgrade the os to an android 2.3 os?

cant i upgrade the os myself? what do you guys recomend for 200 buks?

Had a play with it a few days ago when I went to pick up the dawa a8,
Build quality is fine feels really solid,
Can't vouch on battery life, it's a 3400 battery so 4-5hrs I guess,
To take full advantage of the dual core you really need android 2.3 on it,
I compared it with the dawa a8 and it had just the slightest edge in speed,
With android 2.3 it will be much faster,
There are plenty of reviews up on YouTube
