Speech-to-Text question for Le Pan 970

Hi everyone, thanks for all the valuable information regarding this le pan tablet. Quick question--I'm thinking about purchasing this tablet for my kids to use for entertainment when we travel, but I also need something that my 5th grader can use at school from time to time to speak into and create word documents (he's a fast thinker, but slow writer). Does this tablet work well with speech to text and office/word apps? I was planning to purchase earbuds with a mic to help facilitate this in the classroom. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Love my Le Pan II...great buy for the money.I have tried speech with email, Dolphin browser, Evernote.All work very well.I have not tried Google Docs yet.
