Tablet Does Not Recognize Drive

Hi, I just got a tablet, android 4.2. It has a TF card slot, but I have a sd card. I plugged the cable into a usb and the tablet didn't recognize the drive. What do I do? I want to edit my photos on the new tablet. Someone please help me, a new user.

A TF card and a SD card are the same thing. Put your card into the TF card slot and you'll be fine.
