Tablet Marine Navigation

hi there,

i've been reading about Androids and iphones with regards to GPS systems and marine navigation ?

would any of you trust this enough for coastal sailing (around UK) or longer journeys ??

any comments welcome.

I have done it for Coastal US sailing, no reason it would not work for the UK. You will need to get a marine specific app so that you have proper charts, but they work great

Honestly, I think the android is still in early development. If you find an app for it, let us know. but I think the IPAD has some good stuff out there.
