Are you trying to decide whether to "Root" your tablet? Astrix, one of our Super Moderators, has created a thread on another forum that I highly recommend reading before going any further. It will save you the trouble of posting most of the questions you may have regarding the process including:

Why Should I Root My Android device?
What is Rooting on Android? The Advantages and Disadvantages.
What are Custom ROMs? The Advantages and Disadvantages.

To anyone interested in rooting, custom flashing, tweaking and modifying.

Some will think modifying is always fun and entertaining with lots of privelages to have full control of your devices.......BUT its actually a serious business to look into as not to make your shinning beautiful daily drivers devices a paperweight.

Don't just jump and join blindly to the party before knowing some other steps/things: Examples:
- Ensure to prepare yourself "How To" UNROOT your devices.
- Ensure you're familiarize "How To" go back to stock if anything go wrong or so whatever reason.
(Keep official stock firmware, drivers and tools handy as you will not panic searching all over the internet and asking everyone when you get stuck/or you need it.
- How to escape from bootloop when unsuccessful flashing or after flashing.
- Know how to make backup of essential data/contacts...etc. As some unlocking procedure will wipe your system as clean as out-of-the-box.

Others most important thing when you're new to flashing.
- Read, read and understand what the developers recommended way to flash.
- Read, read and understand what the known bugs as not to keep asking why this and that not working.

To click like and say thanks to the developer or anyone assisting you won't hurt your fingers!

If you could donate (optional) to them...that will bonus to the developers who create the root, tools, custom firmware/kernel..etc to make Android more wonderful will be great. As creating this awesome stuffs, They spend hours of hours of their time.

The world famous question arise:

Sorry ww, this is a tablet forum. What you need is a phone forum, preferably one for whatever phone you have.

You will need to Root your Tablet, Update your Firmware, and have a special storage card for backups and flashing your firmware if you want to have a full featured Tablet.

Rooting is really important for those Android devices with low internal storage, because i've seen some of these devices just won't allow users to install apps on the microSD card. So you need to root your Android devices.
