Audio Out Converter

Well, I have owned my Samsung Galaxy tab S 8.4 now for about 8 months and I'm not really any closer to figuring this out. I HOPE someone can help me out.

I've been trying to figure out how to figure out a dock that can both charge and convert the audio to TOSLINK.

Has anyone here done this of figured it how to charge and get toslink output?

I don't think there is any such thing as a converter for TOSLINK. If the hardware didn't have the optical interface built in I think you're out of luck.

I think perhaps I didn't phrase it correctly or use the proper
terms used for what I am looking for. I am VERY new to these
types of smartphones/tablets and such. I'm trying to find
something like the below link, but for a Samsung.

Does this make better sense?

That does make more sense. The problems are, 1) That's for a phone or iPod, not for an iPad. 2) IPhones, iPods or iPads are easier to design for because they are all from the same company, so there is a standard that doesn't exist with Android. 3) you can plug in high quality head-hones or even external speakers to most Android devices and very possibly get the same result.

In short I don't see that happening either unless Samsung designs something.
