The specs for the Kyros 7024 says it has 512 meg of RAM, but system info says it mine only has 312 Meg of RAM total. Do they really mean 512 Meg of internal storage and not RAM? Anyone with a 7024 have a tool such as Android Assistant or Android System Info reporting 512 Meg of RAM?

312MB free that's great! That's more than Elocity A7 with 512MB which only has 269MB free. Be happy with what you have.

This is a bit odd. Free from the shell shows 314Mb, Android sys info shows 'internal memory max', whatever it means, as 486M while also showing "Total RAM" at 314Mb.
But the physical inspections shows 4 1Gb DDR2-800 5-5-5 chips (Samsung K4T1G164QF). I bet these are shared with the PowerVR and the UARTs.

Its 512 but the system uses a large part of it which is why the real time ram is lower. This is normal on any electronic device.

Tipstir, I want to understand what is going on here. What happened to the rest of the 512 Meg? Was it consumed by the OS being loaded into RAM from ROM at boot?
