All about the Battery (Life, charge, dischage times ) Flytouch 2

Hey guys, just 5 days with my new flytouch 2 (.1561)

Just wondering what everyone is seeing as far as battery life, charge times, usage, etc.

Seems like it takes VERY LONG to charge, (I have tried powered off, standby, and just sitting on)

My battery life doesn't seem all that long. I have turned OFF GPS, but any thoughts on what else I can turn off?

Thanks
brian

I was wondering the same thing. I have noticed I get about 2 hours (3 was the best time I have noticed with wifi turned off). I have also never been able to charge it to 100%. Highest I have gotten was 97%.

I did not tested my charging time but it seems like almost full day.
But it last more than 5 hour to me.

It takes mine overnight (>5hrs) to charge from about 15~20% to 100%.
I have 2 FT2 and there is a little trick to the charging situation.
I prefer to power on my FT2 with the AC still attached after charging.
using OverCharge! to show my battery level, it will in fact showed that very little charging is taking place.
Usually in the 20+% (approximately when I plugged it in).
I would leave the tablet on (unlock the screen) with the Ac plugged in.
battery level will quickly rise to 100% in about 2~3 minutes.
Then I removed the plug and shutdown/sleep as the case maybe.

very sensitive to charging nuance now as I have to share 1 adaptor with 2 FT2s.

On the one that I use to watch videos, I can get about 3~4hrs of video on battery (no complaints about power low).

Hi Brian,
I take it from your post that you haven't installed an apps killer.
If not,I would suggest going to apps market & downloading &
installing one.
When you run it,it will list all apps/tasks which it is safe to "kill".
You'll be very surprised at how much unnecessary stuff is running in
the background,draining your battery.
Another thing,if you're not using WiFi function, switch it off (again uses a lot of power).

I had advanced task killer on it before I updated to .1560. (That is what I have on my Droid) Would you suggest something other then that? Or it that OK?

I use Quick Task/App Killer Pro which is available from the apps market, but ATK is also very good.
Whatever!
Install one of them & you'll really notice a difference in your device battery life.
Good Luck!

Mine... after disconnecting the power it dropped from 100% to ~60% (since day one). I was able to run photo frame for ~2h.
Now it shows < 50% after overnight charging and it drops to 20% after ~20min WiFi surfing :-(

Just a few thoughts

1. Charge the unit for 10 hours straight.
2. Delete the battery stats file.
3. Also a good quality charger might help. The chinese unit shipped with the MID's are bad quality.
