Archos 70 & 101 webcam

According to the specs I have seen the webcam is only a 0.3Mp, is that really bad. I noticed that the Archos 43 has a HD Camcorder: 2 MP, the specs for the cameras kinda make me want to go for the 43 even though I'm really leaning towards the 70 more then the 101. Is the difference between the webcam and HD Camcorder that big of a deal.

0.3mp is max resolution of 640x480, 2mp max is 1600x1200. it's not bad for video chat - the smaller size that comes w/the lower resolution seems to help video stream more smoothly, and the image quality isn't so bad...

globalcomputer.com has them listed at 10/31 and 11/1 and are taking pre orders...

Tigerdirect is still taking pre-orders on the 101 16 gb model. Listed as arrival 11/1. No more preorders for the 8 gb model. bummer.

Archos 101 internet tablet (8GB) 501590 - B&H Photo Video

B&H says expected arrival in December for the 8 GB 101. I hope that isn't everybody... Still trying to stay under $300. That's the price point agreed upon with the wife. I might have to sell my body on the corner again to swing the other $50 bucks.

looks like it's 256mb ddr3 - the hardware info screen was shown on some of the hands-on videos on yt.

Thanks. 256 doesn't really cut in much with Android 3.0 coming in the picture next year. Perhaps this is the reason that its cheaper than some of its competitor?

Maybe it's late, but which home page (TD, Archos, or AndroidTablet.net)? I could not find the delay message. I have the 16Gb on order from Global Computers.

I just check the status of my order from Global Computer. It still shows back-ordered. I'm taking this as a good sign.
