Asus MeMO Pad 10 ME102A: Update Failure

Hi,

I've got this tablet Asus MeMO Pad 10 ME102A running JellyBean 4.2.

Now I'm trying to update the firmware using this guide: http://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1011948/
but it's not working.

The firmware I'm trying to install is version ww_V3.11.0.100 from the ASUS website. I know I have the right SKU version for my tablet. Also tried install it through the Android System Recovery, where it shows up on my memory card, but installation keeps failing.

It says "finding + opening + verifying update package..." but then it just says "Installation aborted" without me touching anything.

If anyone out there has any helpful sollutions it would sure be most appreciated!

My first thought is why wouldn't it update normally, like it should? If you are unlocked or rooted that could be a/the problem.

Those instructions are a little confusing as you didn't mention if there was a second ZIP file, which I suspect is the case. If so put it on a FAT32 formatted microSD card, (the second ZIP.), and restart.
