The Nook color, an Android powered eReader is getting a pretty big update soon from Barnes & Noble themselves. The update that has been hacked to the device for quite some time now is being released officially by Barnes and Nobel early next month. This update does not enable the standard Android market, they have their own and think you do not need it, but it does give you the great taste of Froyo. Now many of you would like to see gingerbread being put on the Nook, but sadly that will not happen anytime soon. Now that does not mean hackers will not make your dreams come true, so keep a lookout for the Gingerbread ROM that might be flying around soon.
