it shouldn't be in download folder just on root of sdcard, I think the recovery is at fault though.

I've never had problems flashing from deep inside the folder structure. But will try again from the root of the sdcard and see. THX.

So you have flashed something with this recovery? What did you flash?

Sorry, I was talking about other devices I have... I can flash whatever from any directory in the internal or external SDCard.

I haven't been able to do anything from this recovery, not even a full, complete backup... It fails while backing up the System partition.

Thanks again for you help, but still no go...

Supposedly these tablets are rooted by default aren't they? I don't know what's the deal...

I will try to start from scratch by reinstalling the original recovery.img and perform a factory reset... *sighs*

You have the original recovery? Any chance I could get that from you?
I accidentally lost mine -_-
