broadband modem

i have a tablet that i got on amazon i think its android 2.2 system i'm trying to find a usb broadband modem that will work on it, i have a cricket modem i use on my laptop it dontwork i did order one from hong kong that you put your cell phone sim card in but that didn't work eather, does anyone know anything about this that can help me? thanks so much
