Is this possible? Would some sort of emulator be needed?

Yes it is possible. No an emulator isn't needed. The problem is google has not released the source code for Android 3.0 so there is no way to officiall run it. There is a version of 3.0 which you can run on the Nook but it is built on the emulator Google released and is really nothing more than a preview. If you choose to run it you can expect some issues.

This may be a silly question but I thought 3.0 required a dual-core CPU? Isn't the NC's CPU single-core?

Dual core was an early rumor. Not required. :)

That's great. Any idea when a ROM for the Nook will be avilable?

Stig, did you try any other rom beside the stock or the 3.0 that is not available yet? Not liking anything?Gg

I'm currently running Cyanogen 7.0.3 and loving it but I played around with a Zoom recently and love the look and feel of 3.0.

They are saying HC will be skipped and we'll have Ice Cream Sandwich instead.

"Unlike Honeycomb, which Google says was not made open source as they worked to unify the Android OS for various devices and form factors, Ice Cream Sandwich will be open sourced for developers to do as they please with."
