Can Apps Be Saved to Flash Drive?

I have a rooted Nexus 7. Is there a way to do this or a way to minimize my gb usage and still have the apps I want?

As far as I know there is, as yet, no way to save or run apps from anywhere on a tablet other than the internal memory. The apps are fairly small so your best option may be to use the cloud for some of the data, like DropBox, Google Docs, or Box.net

That's what I figured. I have plenty of internal room right, just thinking ahead a bit.
