What is cell standby? Whenever my batt gets low i check batt usage and it says 77 % is on cell standby. I cant find it anywhere in settings.

Cell standby is the 3G telephony apk's. If you use a 3G stick you need these running.
If you do not need 3G, you can disable this.
Use Root access and 'root explorer' to rename the following .apk to .old
/syatem/app/telephony.apk
/system/app/phone.apk (This will generate errors)
Reboot and cell standby will be gone.
I think the report of battery usage is a false possitive though, I did this and my pad does not last any longer than it did previously.
