i have a 12v USB cigarette plug that i use to charge my CP. Huawei S7 uses power adaptor with 5v 2a output. so i was thinking, USB cable might work (USB is 5V 500ma).

unfortunately, the first gen nokia plug doesn't fit with Huawei IDEOS S7's charging port... but with a small modification, it would fit.

so i cut my no longer used nokia first gen replacement charger plug and connected the power lines to a USB head:

then lapped the plug to fit into IDEOS S7's charging port:

plug the cable in PC's usb port... it works. tablet charges!

plug the cable in car charger's usb port... it works. tablet charges!

now i have a car charger!

since USB is just 500ma, charging would not be as fast. But at least I can now charge my S7 while I drive :)
