error type message

when I boot up, or go from one app to another, I often get the following message:
the application google Services Framework process.com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again.

could someone tell me what this means? It seems that all the other apps run properly, only this message comes up when I switch back and forth.
