So I bought an epad off of ebay, from a US seller for a reasonable price - and then I did my research. After hours of reading horror stories about the different e-pads out there, I've come to the fear that I may have ordered an imitation of an e-pad. You know, one of those shitty china made rip offs that brick within a day or two of un-boxing?

So.. Given the specs the seller provided, would you guys be able to tell me if I got the fake type? (I also hear that there's 3 chipsets, one of which is terrible.. did I get that one?)

After some poking around, I think I've located my chipset.

BUT, mine is VIA VT8505, not VIA WM8505 like it says it should be.. is that an issue?

Mine also has 100 MHz than it should have..

This isn't looking good, as far as the legitimacy of my product...

The biggest issue I see, is that my firmware is Android 1.6... does this mean I won't be able to use any apps or internet with it? :/
