We haven't used our Kryos MID 9742 tablet in months, and now neither of us can remember the passcode pattern. I've tried holding the power + back buttons for 8 sec at start of boot, and hitting the back button once after the android screen shows up. I've tried holding the power + vol up buttons 8 sec during start up, nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm happy to reset the damned thing (we're going to use it for our daughter's school work), but can't figure out how. Thanks.

Since you forgot the pattern, factory reset is your only option. The link above leads to the directions on how to do the reset.
