Hi! I'm a Lecturer at Northern KY University. I have a ViewSonic 10" tablet that is slower than molasses in January! I don't use it at all for that reason. I would like to erase it and start over but don't know how to do that on a tablet.

Open the Settings app. Find the Backup & reset field and press Factory data reset which will erase all data.

Hi td, congratulations on your ViewSonic tablet and welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us here at Android Tablets. What you're suggesting is a factory reset of your tablet. If you can't reset via the settings for whatever reason, there are several methods explained here: http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/android-tablet-q/62022-how-do-i-factory-reset-my-tablet.html. If there are no instructions for your particular tablet, try some of the methods for other tablets. One of them will probably work and you won't hurt anything by trying as long as the tablet has a good charge.
