Help will not hold charge

I plug my Google Android iRobot in the AC charger until I get a green battery I unplug it and start to work on it and within 30 minutes the charge is totally gone is this normal or is there something wrong that it will not hold a charge?

Probably a defective unit. Even the cheapest tablet will provide 2 hours with wifi-on of autonomy.
