HP Slate 7 price drops!

Just got an email from HP.

Slate 7 8GB now $139.99
Slate7 16GB now $169.99

Not bad, considering pulling the trigger on one. But I really want to wait for the new Nexus 7.

Not impressed! I received the same email and posted my thoughts on a Forum thread yesterday - have a look. In short, too little, too late. Walk away. There are better offerings available right now that are shipping with the Android 4.2 jellybean OS.

not a good from the videos i seen. Thought since it hp would be good but the screen is blah

Not only is the display resolution poor, but it's running on a relatively older version of Jelly Bean. Even a microSD card slot and a rear camera, that aren't on the Nexus 7, haven't made it more attractive for prospective buyers. It has failed to gain any traction in the marketplace and I'm pretty sure we can expect a few more price cuts in the coming weeks.
