Huge problem !

I really hope someone can help me. . .I purchased a Coby Kyros MID 8127 Tablet from my school bookstore, only to lock myself out of it the same week I got it. After calling Coby for months I finally got someone on the phone today just to tell me there is no master reset for the device. & this is how I stumbled on this site! I've browsed around few post and tried the adb method but its not recognizing my device. any suggestions??

sidenote: my tablet is NOT rooted.

While I know nothing about your tablet. I do not believe there is not a way to do a system restore from boot. I thought all Android devices had some sort of access to the restore process from the boot cycle.
Maybe someone will come by that knows the process to do the restore.

i tried this step by step and I got to the command prompt, the only thing that would come up is the directions when I did the commands
maybe Im doing something wrong

I know there's a way but none of the ways I've tried is working
