Looking for M701 users

Hello,
I've bought a Joyplus M701 chinese tablet with Android 1.5. I'm quite disappointed with that, though, because I wasn't able to make it connect to the internet through the enclosed sim card slot.
I'm looking for others who's got this device, for getting some help (and giving help once I get accustomed to the thing). Thanks, Ernesto.

I had no experience with Android (I am a Maemo user) but I bought this for my wife who needed a tablet just to browse the net when outside.
I would be content if I could manage to make it connect to the cellular network for internet
Unfortunately the thing only shows the signal bar but no 3G or 2G icon

same problem cant connect to umts network ( i am in italy)
