Mica Android Gingerbread tablet

I love this machine. I put a 4GB SD card it in and on the Storage it said the SD card is 2GB. I have now put in a 16 GB and it says the same thing 2.0 GB. I can't figure out how to get to the SD card and find the data on it. Am I looking in the correct place for the data on the card. Also when I connect it to my PC I am able to sync my calendar, but when I go in to the different drives, my phones and other devices show up as an additional drive and I can move files back and forth----my PC doesn't show my Mica Tablet as another drive.

Do I have to do something to make the machine recognize the card and its capacity????

Any help would be appreciated.
