Hey vampirefo,

I have a 8042 and after Googling i was visited this page Yesterday

(Development Index and Root Utility) and followed all instructions by Traveller.
I have done all things made backups from both Dump Utility & CWM Recovery.
Firmware Dump Link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?g21p9r1ng3newnodibw33uwv9acbkcv

Model Number
MID8042

Android Version
4.0.3

Kernel Version
3.0.8+

Build Number
20120521.145747

The Problem is that I have tried all available Custom Roms for 8042

Aurora ICS 4.0.3 Mobiz V.2 (Both Versions)
Cyanogenmod 9 (8042)
Cyanogenmod 10 (8042)

I was successfully Installed all of them without any headache, But the problem is that my touchscreen is not working on all of them. I have tried all of them not single one worked for me.All Roms have same issue.

After that I decided to restore my stock rom which was I backup. I didn't know how to restore stock rom from dump files, so I decided to restore with CWM and successfully restored it

I got my touchscreen working again all things working flawlessly but new issue is come my internal storage was Damaged or Corrupted or something else I didn't know. I am not a developer or programmer I am just home user who followed the tutorial to learned new things :)

This is the current position

C:\Users\Tabish\Desktop\CobyADB>adb shell
shell@android:/ $ su
su
shell@android:/ # busybox df -h
busybox df -h
Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
tmpfs 407.1M 44.0K 407.1M 0% /dev
tmpfs 407.1M 0 407.1M 0% /mnt/asec
tmpfs 407.1M 0 407.1M 0% /mnt/obb
/dev/block/nandd 503.9M 225.2M 278.7M 45% /system
/dev/block/nande 1.5G 91.7M 1.4G 6% /data
/dev/block/nandh 503.9M 8.4M 495.5M 2% /cache
/dev/block/vold/179:1
1.8G 55.3M 1.4G 24% /mnt/extsd

Kindly guide how to recover internal storage. :( One more thing In Settings > Storage > Total Space 1.48 GB showing but in actual it is 4.00 GB.

In ES File Explorer (SD Card Empty, unmounted or not present) error
In Gallery (No External Storage Available) error, Same Error with other apps also camera etc.....

I have also checked vold.fstab from Dump and in system were same.... :( I didn't know what's happened.

Kindly guide me how to recover from this issue and If you don't mind and you have some free time I need a favor can you also fixed my touchscreen issue with custom roms?

I have shared my Dump Files link and If you required any other file I'll send it you.

An early response is appreciated.

Thank You !!!

I am working on it and I successfully Installed Cyanogenmod 9 by replacing my vendors folder and now my touchscreen is working in Cyanogenmod 9 but not working in Cyanogenmod 10.

But the most important part is why my internal memory is unmounted

Here are some details

Successfully mounted manually but disappear automatically when restart the tablet and there are bunch of lot of unknown format files with my some some backup data of CWM. When I try to delete them all from ES Explorer and File Manager nothing delete.

And every time I have to load it manually. Just showing files and nothing write on and on PC didn't detect it as a storage device even not in windows and Ubuntu.

No dear I didn't used livesuite....

If you make a .zip file for CM 10 than I'll copy my vendor files to it. Maybe It will work.

Thank You !

Nothing looks right on your tablet, you should mount to 93:65 on a normal 8042.

none the less format 93:64 and 93:65 remount manual as you did then reboot.

to format use adb and busybox.

adb shell

busybox mkfs.vfat /dev/block/vold/93:64

busybox mkfs.vfat /dev/block/vold/93:65

Actually this is my friend's tablet. I didn't know what he did with this or some one else..... But I didn't used livesuite on it.

Internal Storage is back after stock recovery but now I am seeing two different internal storage in Settings>Storage

Everything is working properly and flawless now. Just two different internal storage are mounted in Settings>Storage. One more thing when I mount the storage with PC using Windows and Linux on both I have tested only single storage is mount and external storage mounted the other internal storage didn't mounted in PC also.

On Tablet Back Cover there is written the Internal Storage is 4GB. In Tablet Settings > Storage Two different Partitions of 2GB, 2GB were mounted. One Partition is mount in Pc the other one didn't using usb cable.

I think the second one is mounted on (/mnt/secure/asec). Is that Possible to mount it on (/mnt/sdcard) ?

Do you have any idea how can I recover from this issue.

Thanks Once Again For Your Time !!!

Your partitions seem correct for 4GB, apparently you don't understand the 4GB is being used, by data, cache, system, and sdcard, you for some reason think you should have 4GB sdcard.

4GB is total space split between system, using half GB, cache using half GB, data using 1 and half GB, leaving about 1GB for sdcard.
