multiple icons

I am very new so bear with me......I have a g tablet and somehow I've managed to get multiple icons of netflix,doplhin broswer ,gmail on my home screen. how do I delete them?

If it works the way most tablets do, long press on the icon and a garbage can should appear. Drag the unwanted icon to the garbage can and drop it in.
