My Nook HD Died

My Nook HD was working fine so I turned on wifi and left it to load. I forgot about it and came back in a couple of hours and it was dead. It won't start up and won't charge. The charge green light comes on but not the amber. Any help would be appreciated. (This is the older Nook HD).
