New Noob to Tablets!

OK, I just got my first tablet.
Yes, until now I was a tablet virgin.
I've been researching tablets for the last month or so.
I found the Huawei Ideos S7 to have the features I wanted at the
price point I was willing to spend on my first tablet.

Needless to say, I am impressed. Not only with the tablet, but the forums
that provide user support.

As a noobie, I have a few questions.
How do you backup your System/Data?
I have seen that people are using the Singapore ROM, Why? What benefits?
Once the S7 is rooted, what do I do then?
Any other info that will help a noobie?

Dave, there is no need to root or flash until you are ready, but it gives you a level of control and configurability that helps. Read the sticky on Why Root in the General Section.

There are several backup apps in the market that do online backups, but if you need local backups then you will need different apps. So, my recommendation is to read the basic instructions on rooting, then you can also look at Titanium Backup, and you should be good.
