New to Android Tablet

Hello,
I just got a new Etablet (EX900 - Android version 1.8.2) and I have a couple of questions:

1. First of all, I have difficulties downloading apps because they seem to work for the smartphones only. Could you please let me know where I could find more apps. I tried Android market, but I only see a couple of apps and they do not even work on my tablet for a big share of them.

2. I need to download open office on my tablet, I tried using the linux version (saved on the SD card) but it did not work, do you have any idea how I could correct that.

Android Tablet Usage and Apps the android usage and apps subforum is probably where you want to go. open office won't work on android. you'll need something like documents to go (which is a paid app, unfortunately). maybe someone else knows some free alternatives?
