New to tablets but not tech

Hello to all users. I am new here and came across this site after trying to find some info on the panimage tablet that qvc was selling since it was going to be a gift. Thanks to to the wealth information i will be sending it back and trying a different one. Are there any decent ones for around $300 or so ill be using mine at work mainly. I have been looking at the archos 70 after reading some of the other forums and the coby ones. I have no issues having to mod it or anything like that to make it useable. I am leaning towards the archos but open to other recommendations.

There are some great tablets for under 300 dollars but it all depends on what you want
