New User of a Tablet

Hi, I am a new user of a tablet. I don't have any instructions from when I bought it. I could use some help getting from my email page to my home page. Every time I go back to my home page, and want to go into it, my email keeps coming up. Also on the first opening after the clock comes up, there are 7 sqares I can't get rid of.
