new vtab1008 owner

just got a tablet and when i first turned it on it went to a update screen so i complied. this took a few hours? after the install i messed around for a bit and tried using the ir blaster and it was a no go, couldn't use for my blu-ray,reciever,tv nothing called vizio and they had me reset cashe and clear out? still a no go any help would be awsome. use laymen tersm as i am not tablet savy.

Congrats on you tablet. That doesn't sound right for the update. Too long. You should try doing a factory reset on your vtab (use the search to find the thread on how to do it)
